I wanted to try this Sweet Potato jamun after seeing this in many blogs and instagram. However my kids love sweet potato chaat. So Always ended up making it instead of any other new stuff. But when I listed things to try in this festive season I shortlisted this jamun as it is simple & tasty dish. Esp after bread jumun (which is huge hit) I am pretty sure kids would love this too. This is definite keep recipe
Ingredients:



Sweet potato – 2
Maida – 1 tablespoon
Milk Powder – 2 tablespoons
baking soda – 1 pinch
Salt – pinch
Oil for deep frying
Sugar – 3/4 cup
water for making syrup
rose water – 2 tablespoon (optional)
Cardamom powder – 2 generous pinch
lemon juice – 1 teaspoon



Method:
Pressure cook Sweet potato with salt for 2 – 3 whistle or till you can insert knife. 

Drain the water completely leave it aside till it become dry. Remove the skin and mash it. 

Add all madia, baking soda, milk powder and salt. mix well. to make a dough. Apply ghee in hand and make smooth small balls. Keep it aside

Make sugar Syrup. Add water to sugar and boil for 6-8 mins.Add cardamom powder, rose water. boil for another min. 

Reduce the flame completely add lemon juice

Heat oil for deep frying.. Fry the Jamuns in low medium flame. Once all sides are done remove it 

Add this to warm syrup. Let it soak for 1-2 hrs
