Have you ever tried Tandoori baby corn? If not, this is a must-try recipe. Tandoori-flavored dishes have recently become a family favourite. My to-do list includes a few recipes. I ordered baby corn the other day because I was running low on the few dollars required for free grocery delivery. I was looking for ways to put it to use.
I checked with my mother and told her I wanted to try it for an evening snack. She suggested Tandoori baby corn. And she gave me the recipe. I appreciate that this recipe does not call for deep frying. My second son, who is not a big fan of corn, enjoys this recipe. Tandoori Corn has become a weekly staple in our house. This recipe is extremely simple and can be made in under 30 minutes.
Step by step instruction to make Tandoori baby corn
Step 1: Cut baby corn into 2 pieces as you see in the pic. Heat water with salt & cook baby corn. Drain it. Keep it aside
Step 2: In a bowl take all the ingredients under marination and mix well add water if needed
Step 3: Add cooked baby corn and mix well. Let it sit for 30 mins
Step 4: In a grill pan add oil for shallow frying. arrange marinated baby corn and let it cook till all sides are browned. Cook in low flame
Step 5: At last add remaining marination paste and fried baby corn and mix well
Step 6: Serve hot!
Notes
You grill the marinated baby corn in microwave. To make it in microwave pre heat oven at 200 degree C. Arrange marinated baby corn in a greased baking sheet. Bake it for 15 mins and grill it for 4-6 mins
you can add finely chopped garlic instead of garlic paste
If you have time you can marinate it for longer
For tikka style you can use skewers and pin them alternatively with onion and capsicum.
Pre boiling is a must. Time might vary per quality and freshness of sweet corn
