Tofu Bread Roll

I have been shying away from bread rolls as it is more oily but my kids win over me.. They have been asking for Bread roll for quite some time. I normally do with mix vegetable but this time wanted to try simple Tofu roll. They loved it (double thumbs up)


Ingredients:


Tofu – Mashed 2 cups
Cumin Seeds Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Gram masala – 1 /2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Pepper powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Spring Onion – chopped 1 tablespoon ( I run out so this time I didn’t add)
Tomato sauce – 3/4 table spoon
Salt to taste
Bread – 4 ( I used wholemeal bread)
Oil – for deep frying


Method:


Heat the kada
When it is hot add mashed tofu
Add salt and let it cook if u want u can close it with lid. Sprinkle water if needed
When it is 3/4th cooked add gram masala, cumin seeds powder, pepper powder, Spring Onion (if  u add) and mix everything well
Cook Tofu
Add Tomato sauce and mix it well. Let it cook for 30 sec
Switch it off and keep it aside
Cut the sides of the bread
Wet the bread with hand (don’t soak) just pat with wet hand
Keep 2-3  teaspoon of Tofu in each bread. Roll it and seal all the sides by pressing the bread with hands

Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry on a medium flame till golden brown. 
Serve with Ketchup
