I wanted to do something different that goes well with Dosa. Last weekend we were at Saravana Bhavan and I liked their tomato chutney. So wanted to try out . It came out well even though not exactly same in taste
Ingredients:
Onion – 1
Tomato – 5
Green Chillies – 2 Chopped
Chilli Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Oil – 2 teaspoon
Salt per taste
Roasted Gram Powder – 1 tablespoon
Gram Masala – 1/4 teaspoon
Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
Urad Dhal – 1/2 teaspoon
Curry Leaves – 2 string
Method:
Chop Onion and Tomato finely
Slit green chillies
Heat oil in Kada when it is hot add mustard seeds when it start to splutter add urad dhal, Curry Leaves and green chillies
Fry for 1 min and add Chopped Onion and fry till it turn brown
Add tomato and fry till it become soft
Add water as required, Salt, Chilli Powder, Gram Masala
Let it boil when it reached required consistency and add Roasted Gram dhal powder (mix it with water and add to gravy)
Switch off and transfer to serving dish
