Tomato Chutney

Ingredients:

  •  Onions
  • 5 Tomatoes (Medium)
  • 3 Teaspoon Urad Dhal
  • Dry red pepper / Red Chillies – 4
  •  2 teaspoon Tamarind paste
  • 1 string curry leaves
  • Oil for frying ( I have used Olive Oil)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
Method:

  • Cut the onion and tomatoes length wise
  • Heat the tawa and dry roast 1 teaspoon urad dhal and keep it aside
  • Heat the Oil in Kada
  • Add Red Chillies and fry for sometime
  • Add Cut onion and fry till Onion is cooked (if u add salt when frying it will be done fast)
  • Add Tamarind when Onion is half done and fry together
  • Add Tomatoes and fry till soft
  • Add curry leaves
  • Switch off and let it cool down
  • Add the roasted urad dhal
  • Transfer to mixie and grind it to paste
  • Add oil to tawa 
  • when the oil is hot add mustard
  • Do the seasoning and add to the chutney and just run mixer for a sec and transfer to serving dish
