Vegetable Puffs With Puff Pastry Sheets

I love Vegetable Puffs. This is one of the snack time regular during our college days. Thought of those days make me think we are fortunate than our kids. Those days, by the time we enter house, my mum will be waiting with snack and milk.. Being working women, my kids get evening snack during only weekend!. There were asking for Puff for quite sometime. But couldn’t find the pastry. Last week when was shopping I saw this pastry sheet and grabbed it



Ingredients: 


Pastry Sheets – as required for 6 of it I hv used 1 and 1/2

Vegetable Filling:

Finely chopped mixed vegetable – 2 Cup (I have used Carrot, Beans, Cauliflower, Potato)
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Tomato – 1 (Finely Chopped)
Garlic – 2 Pods (Finely Chopped)
Ginger – 1 inch (finely chopped)
Pav Baji Masala/Subji Masala/Sambar powder – 2 teaspoon (I have used Pav Subji Masala)
Red Chilli powder – 1/4 Teaspoon (per taste)
Turmeric powder – 1/4 Teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 2 tablespoon


Method (Veg Filling):

Heat the kada with 1 tablespoon and add finely chopped Garlic,ginger and Onion fry till translucent.
Add Tomato and fry till mushy. switch off the flame and Let it cool down
Pressure cook the vegetable and smash it
Heat the kada and add oil
Add cumin seeds when it crackle add grinded onion, tomato, garlic paste.
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and masala powder
Fry for 2-3 mins
Add mashed vegetable and mix well
Let it cook till the gravy become thick switch off and keep it aside


Method (Puff):



Take the pastry sheet Cut that into desired size of rectangle

Put a spoon of Veg filling in one side of it. Leave enough space to seal the sides
Close it and seal the sides of the puff
Bake in a preheated oven at 220 Centrigrade for 30 mins until the top is golden brown. 
Serve hot with Tomato Sauce
