Yet another tasty snack to impress your family. It is quite simple to make it. I have served with dahi channa (Kabuli channa) you can try with your favorite stuffing. This perfect snack for your kids. Filling and high in protein. These days my son is at home he is having his break before starting his college & he is big on protein dishes. Initially, I wanted to try out with potato but decide to replace it with Vermicelli. It came out super tasty and he loved it too.
Ingredients
Vermicelli – 1.5 cup
Milk – 3 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Ghee/ Butter/ oil to the grease muffin tray
Cooked chickpea – 1 cup
Onion – 1/4 cup
Carrot – 2 tablespoon (grated)
Sweet chutney – as required
Green chili – 1
Yogurt – 1/2 cup
Cashew – 10 (soaked in hot water)
Sugar – 1 teaspoon (optional)
Red chili powder
Method
Take vermicelli in a bowl. Mix in milk, salt. Mix well. Keep it aside for 10 – 15 mins. Vermicelli is not soft enough u can add milk add little by little as you need vermicelli just enough to hold it not soggy
Add Ghee and mix well. In a muffin tray grease it with ghee/butter/oil. Take small lemon size vermicelli and press it to get a nice cup shape.
Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees C. Bake the cups for 15 mins or till it is done
Meanwhile grind Green chilies, sugar, Coconut, and cashew.
Add to yogurt and mix well
Once cups are done let it cool down. Add chickpea, yogurt, Top it off with Onion & carrot. Drizzle sweet chutney
Enjoy
