Sweet Ammini Kozhukattai Recipe – Mini Kozhukattai Recipe – Little Millet Sweet Ammini Kozhukattai – Samai Sweet Ammini Kozhukattai recipe – Ganesh Chaturthi Recipes

I always love jaggery based sweets. I find Little millet flour naturally sweet. I Saw this recipe here. I thought of trying it with Samai flour / Little millet flour. I made some adjustment to my taste. This can be good snack too. I also followed my Ammni kozhukkatai for making dough My mum made the flour by grinding the Little millet (you can do it either in blender or in flour mills) and later she roasted till nice aroma released.

Ingredients:

Little millet Flour / Idiyappam Flour – 1 Cup
Maida – 1 tablepoon
Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Oil  – 1 Tablepoon
Water – 1 1/2 Cup
Roasted Sesame seeds – 1.5 tablespoon

Jaggery – 1/4-1/2 cup (Adjust to your preferred sweetness)

Grated Coconut – 2-3 tablespoon
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon

Method:
Boil 1 1/2 cup of water, teaspoon of oil with Salt.
Reduce the flame and add the flours and mix well with spoon. Switch off the flame and leave it for 3-5 mins. Apply oil on your hand and mix the dough well. Make them in to a soft dough (Adjust water accordingly. The dough should be like smooth chapathi dough). ( I have done the flour in 2 batches)

Now, grease the palms with oil and roll the dough in to small round balls.

Steam cook it in idli cooker and once done, keep them aside.

Heat the pan with Jaggery and 2 tablespoon of water. Once melted strain it to remove impurities. Bring it back to boil. Add roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder. Mix well. Cook for 30 sec

Add Cooked balls and grated coconut. Mix well.

Enjoy
