Green Papaya Salad

I love green papaya salad. It is one of must have if I go for any Thai food. It is so easy and yet very flavourful. It is healthy too. There is no oil involved. Be aware if you are eating out as the sauce they might be using is fish sauce so ask for ingredients if you are vegetarian

Ingredients:
Raw papaya – 2 cups thickly grated
Carrot – 1/2 cup grated
Tomatoes – 1 Chopped (If you have cherry tomatoes use 10-12 of them)
Peanuts – 1/2 Cup roasted and skinned

Salad Dressing:
Lime juice (2 tablespoon) or lemon juice (3 tablespoon) – I hv used lemon juice
Sugar – tablespoon
Salt per taste
Green Chillies – 3 chopped (adjust to ur spice level)

Soya sauce – 1/2 teaspoon

In a small bowl blend all the dressing ingredients for the salad.

Method:
Peel and grate the papaya and carrot with a grater having large holes and place in the refrigerator to chill. If you are in a hurry you can place them in the freezer, but make sure that the papaya is thoroughly chilled.

Add peanuts into the chilled papaya and mix in the salad dressing before serving

Serve it (cold taste better)
