I love to try new and simple dishes for after school snacks / tea time snacks for the holiday. Kids enjoy those. Kids love anything with cheese. I wanted to combine some vegetables (yes sneak something which they have difficulties with ) So I added capsicum. I had only Green and Yellow (ran out of Red) but you can add your favourite vegetables like Broccoli, Carrot or any color of bell peppers you have. I feel Beans doesn’t go well with cheese but if you like it pls. go ahead with your choice of vegetables. Since I named it as Pizza samosa I wanted to use vegetables which are used for making Pizza
Ingredients
Samosa sheets – 4 (I have used bigger sheets)
Mixed bell pepper / capsicum – 1.5 cup chopped finely
Garlic – 2 teaspoon
Onion – 1/2 cup (chopped. I have used white. you can do red too)
Salt to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese – 1 teaspoon per samosa (if you want more cheese you can increase it)
Italian mixed spices – 1 teaspoon
Pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to spice level)
Red chilli flakes – 1/4 teaspoon (adjust to spice level)
Oil – 1 tablespoon (olive oil)
Oil for frying (you can bake this one. Other time I did bake it it came out well too)
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon
Sealing Paste
Corn flour – 2 tablespoon or as required
Salt to taste
Water
Method:
Heat olive oil. Add garlic and onion and fry till transparent. Add capsicum and salt. Fry till capsicum is cooked. Add Italian spices, pepper powder mix well. Fry for another min. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
Prepare sealing paste and keep it aside. Defrost the samosa sheet. I wanted the samosa in bite size so I have cut each sheet into 3. Arrange the filling and fold the samosa as you see in the pics.
Apply sealing paste and fold it
Heat the oil in deep curved pan. Keep the flame in medium low. Place the samosa in the hot oil. Keep the flame in medium low. Fry till all the sides are golden brown. Drain the extra oil and remove samosas from oil.
