Surnali recipe – Sweet and Spongy Dosa – Healthy sweet dosa – Festival recipe – Simple Pooja recipes – Simple Festivals recipe – Simple naivedyam recipes

I love jaggery base recipe. I saw this in a restaurant it looked so soft and texture is almost like set dosa.. I guessed that it is with beaten rice and yogurt. Later I searched for the recipe and I was so tempted to try it out. This can be good pooja / fasting recipe too
Ingredients:

Idli rice – 3/4 cup
Curd – 1 cup
Beaten Rice – 1/4 cup
Fenugreek seeds  -1/8 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Jaggery – 4 tablespoon
Grated coconut – 1/4 cup
Oil for cooking dosa

Method:

Soak the rice with fenugreek seed for 4 hours. Soak Beaten rice in yogurt for 1 hr.

Grind all into coarse batter. Add Jaggery and grated coconut and grind to smooth paste. Don’t add so much of water while grinding

Ferment the batter overnight

Grease the pan and pour laddle full of batter. Drizzle oil or Ghee and close the lid. Cook it in slow flame. Once cooked cook in high flame for 30 sec.Remove it and serve hot.

This will taste good even after cool down
