My kids are very big fans of Thayir / yogurt. So I make lot of yogurt based dish. I have posted Thayir vada (Fried). Thayir Vada (baked), Mor kuzhambu / kulambu Idli in my space before. I actually make these as evening snack esp during weekends. But this can be good healthy after school snack for kids.
Ingredients:
Mini idli – 20 to 25 or Sliced idli pieces – 3 cups to 4 (U can use varagu rice idli or normal idli)
Yogurt – 300g ( I have used greek yogurt)
Grated coconut – 2 tablespoon
Green chillies – 2-3 (adjust to your spice level)
Cashew nuts – 1 tablespoon
Roasted Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – for garnising
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Grated carrot – 2-3 tablespoon
Method
Grind coconut, green chillies and cashews with 1/4 cup of curd. And add rest of the yogurt. And whip it. Add salt and cumin seeds powder and whip once
Keep it in fridge for 30 mins and serve. I prefer it this way if not you can serve as it is. If you have sweet chutney, Green chutney u can use it also.
