Mumbai Bhel Puri – Street Food Recipe

Bhel Puri – One of the chaat items which I love. Somehow, I feel that this is more healthy since you can add vegetables like potato, tomatoes, raw onion, sprouts, chickpea, or peanut. Adding raw mango is totally up to you. This is normally served as a snack but for me, I can take this as a meal itself. You can get creative with this recipe.
Ingredients:

Puffed rice – 2 cups
Broken papdi – 6-8
Green chutney – 1 tablespoon
Sweet Chutney – 2 tablespoons
Sev / Omapodi – 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup
Chaat masala – 2 generous pinches
Roasted Cumin powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Red chili powder – 1/8 teaspoon (Adjust to your spice level)
Cooked Potato – 1/4 cup (cubed)
Tomatoes – 1 tablespoon
Onion – 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Roasted Peanuts – 2 tablespoons
Grated raw mango (optional) – 2 tablespoons
Cooked Sprouts –  1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves – 2 teaspoons (finely chopped)

Method:

Dry roast puffed rice until crisp. You can microwave too. Take a bowl to add tomatoes, onion, mango, cooked potato, all masala powder & Lemon juice.

Add Papdi and puffed rice. Mix well.

Add sev & mix. Add sweet chutney and coriander leaves.

Add Green chutney. Mix well. When you are about to serve, mix with sev. Serve it.

Enjoy!
