bread gulab jamun recipe – How to make soft bread gulab jamun – Simple festival sweet recipes

I wanted to try this simple bread gulab jamun for a very long time. Our family is not a big fan of gulab jamun so I was looking for an occasion to make it. Sometime ago I tried it with brown bread but I didn’t like it. I have decided try again with milk bread. Milk bread naturally has a sweet flavour. It came out pretty good.  My sons liked this one over traditional one
Ingredients

Bread – 6 pc
Milk powder – 3 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Milk – 2 – 4 teaspoon
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/8 teaspoon
Oil for deep frying
Rose water – 1 teaspoon (optional)
dry rose – 1 teaspoon (optional)
Pistachio – 2 teaspoon (for Decoration)

Method:

Remove the sides from bread and place it blender

Make bread crumbs. Transfer to bigger bowl add milk powder, salt and add milk little by little to make a tight dough.

Leave it aside for 15 mins. Make a marble size balls.

Let’s make sugar syrup. Take sugar, water and boil till sugar dissolves. Add cardamom powder and boil it for a min no need of any string consistency. Switch it off when u add jamun syrup should be warm

Heat oil for deep frying. Oil shouldn’t be smoking hot. When it is just hot place the balls carefully and cook till all the sides are browned. Drain extra oil and take it out. Place it in kitchen tissue

Add the fried balls into sugar syrup let it soak at least for 1 hr before serving.

Enjoy!
