In our family no one really like Sweets but savory snacks will disappear fast but Sweet I really have to beg everyone to have few pieces except for home made mysore pak. I have also posted Thinnai (Foxtail millet) mysore pak . So when I wanted to try some sweets for this Diwali, I wanted to try something close to mysore pak. So I wanted to try this carrot besan burfi. It came out pretty well. It is quite simple and with simple ingredients. My family loved it too.
Ingredients:
Carrot – 1/2 cup
Milk – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Method:
Heat pan and add Grinded Carrot, Milk, Sugar and Roasted Chickpea flour. Mix well.
Continue to cook at low medium flame. Add Ghee at regular interval (2 teaspoon at a time). After adding Ghee wait till it is full absorbed before adding more. When it start to float stop the ghee
When start to leave the pan without sticking and forthy remove it and pour it in greased tray. Level it with bottom of greased cup.
Let it cool down for 30 mins. Using greased knife cut into square. Remove it and store it in air tight container
