Ginger Garlic Paste

I don’t feel comfortable with store brought ginger garlic paste. I feel it is less flavourful and the taste is not that fresh. Most of the time I make ginger garlic paste fresh. Sometime ago when I visited my sis she was having home made ginger garlic paste and it tasted good as if it was freshly made. I also think it is easier for week day cooking if you have it handy. As most of the recipe calls for ginger garlic paste it is really useful to have it handy. This can last up to 1 month if you keep it in the freezer. After making the paste I also divide it in small portion and store it. This means you don’t have to thaw the entire bottle of paste. Just take what is needed.  This way it lasts even longer
Ingredients
Ginger – 3/4 Cup
Garlic – 1 Cup
Oil – 2 teaspoon



Method


Peel Garlic and ginger and chop it roughly

Grind together ginger, garlic and  oil into smooth paste. Scrap the sides to make sure you really get smooth paste

Divide into smaller portion for easy use

    It is always convenient to make own ginger garlic paste, sans any vinegar the commercial ones are stuffed with.

    Informative post.
    Ginger garlic paste is one of the essentials in most of the times.Recently I also started making this in a large batch.Same recipe,but I add a bit of turmeric powder….
