Gobi Popcorn recipe – Cauliflower Popcorn recipe – Snack recipes – Gopi recipes

During this holiday season, I wanted to make some evening snacks. These days vada/ bajji is not famous with my sons. So I wanted to try something different. Initially wanted to try gobi 65 or gobi machurian. Later remembered an Instagram post on popcorn Gobi so I decided to try this. This is perfect for rainy or weekend tea time snack. Kids would love it for sure (even they are not a big fan of cauliflower)

Ingredients:

Cauliflower – 1 cup
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon

Ginger paste – 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon
Corn flour – 2 tablespoon
Maida – 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Panko Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
Oil for deep frying

For batter
Maida – 3 tablespoon

Soya sauce – 1 tablespoon
Fresh curd – 2 tablespoon
Corn Flour – 3 tablespoon

Salt to taste

Method:

Boil water with salt, turmeric powder. Place cauliflower and cook till 3/4 cooked.

Remove it from water and drain it well. In a bowl take cooked cauliflower, cornflour, ginger paste, garlic paste, coriander leaves, maida, salt, and pepper powder.

Mix well till all cauliflower coated with flour. Keep it aside for 10- 15 mins. In a bowl mix all the ingredients under the batter

Mix well into a dosa batter consistency. Add water as required. Dip cauliflower in batter. Roll the cauliflower in bread crumbs.

Keep it aside. Heat oil for deep frying. Place cauliflower carefully in hot oil. Fry them in medium flame

Once browned remove it from oil place it in kitchen tissue to drain excess oil

Enjoy!

I made this for dinner the other night for my husband and I, and it really was amazing. We couldn't stop raving about it, and the whole time it was cooking I kept hearing my husband say, "Man, that smells good!"
