JalJeera Recipe – Drinks

Whenever I go to a restaurant I normally order Jaljeera or Aam Ka Panna. It is quite refreshing as well as I feel it help to digest the heavy food. It is perfect for the summer. Before I start blogging I used to think these are quite difficult to make and takes time etc.. But after starting the blog I really start to make this kind of drink more often

Ingredients:

Mint – 1/8 cup tightly packed
Coriander leaves 1/8 cup tightly packed
Ginger – 1 inch (finely chopped)
Roasted cumin seeds powder – 2 teaspoon
Thick tamarind paste – 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
Black salt – 1/2 teaspoon (or to taste. I have used normally)
Chilled water – 4 cups
Dry mango powder – 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
Sugar – 1 teaspoon (I didn’t add as I wanted salted version)
Chat masala – 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Boondhi for garnishing

Method:

Grind Tamarind paste, Mint, Coriander Leaves, Ginger to smooth paste with 1/4 cup of water

Add Lemon juice. Add cumin powder, black salt, cumin powder, and mix well.

Mix in Water. Chill it and serve with boondhi

Enjoy
