Whenever I go to barbeque nation Paneer tikka is one of starter I like. To be frank, Paneer is something I start to enjoy in the last few years. Before that, I was not a big fan of any milk products. However, my kids love paneer. So I do make a paneer base recipe almost once a week. I wanted to try this mango paneer tikka for this mango season. I loved the unique flavor that mango gives to this dish. I have used alphonso mango. I feel that goes well for this recipe and gives a nice color. This is a perfect starter/snacks.

Ingredients for Preparing Mango Paneer Tikka Recipe:
Ingredients to marinade paneer recipe
1) Hung curd – 1/4 cup
2) Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon
3) Red chilli powder – 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
4) turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
5) Salt to taste
6) Mango puree – 1/4 cup
7) besan flour – 1.5 tablespoons
Ingredients for preparing tikka
1) Paneer – 200g (I have made 10 pieces out of it)
2) Capsicum – 1/4 inch cubes (I have used Red, yellow, green)
3) Onion – 1/2 (cut into 1/4 inch)
4) Olive oil – 3 tablespoons
Step by step process for preparing mango paneer recipe:
Step 1 – Tie curd/yoghurt in a muslin cloth for 30 mins. Mix everything under the marinade section together with hung curd.
Step 2 – Mix well – Add paneer, capsicum and onion.
Step 3 – Mix well and Keep it aside for 1 to 2 hrs. Take skewers and arrange paneer, capsicum, onion. Keep it aside.
Step 4 – Heat oil in a grill pan. Arrange skewers and cook it in slow flame till slight brown
Step 5 – Turn it over and cook again. Continue to cook until all sides are done.
Step 6 – Remove and Serve!

Havent tried paneer tikka with mango. looks yummy! 🙂
This is pretty good. Similar to many of other recipes we already make. My husband liked this was because he thought it was saucier than some of our other recipes. My 6-year old liked the combo of mango and paneer.
