Mango Salsa recipe – Spicy Mango Salad recipe – Healthy salad recipe

Mango Salsa Recipe

I have wanted to post this salad last year but I couldn’t do a final picture. Since my kids love to have fresh mangoes by itself, I seldom get a chance to make other recipes with them. (They don’t let me try any other dish with the precious Indian mangoes). They are okay if I use Thai or Australia but I love Indian Mangoes. But this season is different as both of them are out of the house (I get to do whatever I want to try). I made this Salsa a few times. Instead of red bell pepper (capsicum), you can use tomatoes but I prefer the bell pepper version, so in this post, I have used bell pepper.

Mango salsa is a sweet and spicy condiment made from ripe mangoes, red onions, peppers, and a variety of other ingredients. It is a versatile topping that can be used on a variety of dishes, including grilled meats, fish tacos, and salads.

Mango salsa typically includes diced or chopped ripe mango, red onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño pepper. Other ingredients can be added for additional flavor and texture, such as cilantro, lime juice, garlic, honey, or avocado.

Mango salsa offers a number of health benefits, thanks to its combination of nutrient-rich ingredients. Here are some of the benefits of mango salsa:

  1. Rich in vitamins and minerals: Mangoes are a great source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and potassium, while peppers and onions are rich in vitamin C and other antioxidants. These nutrients help support a healthy immune system, promote healthy skin and eyes, and may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
  2. Low in calories: Mango salsa is a low-calorie condiment that can add flavor and nutrition to your meals without adding excess calories. One cup of diced mango contains only about 100 calories, making it a great choice for weight management.
  3. Helps with digestion: Mangoes are a good source of fiber, which can help promote healthy digestion and prevent constipation.
  4. May reduce inflammation: Peppers contain capsaicin, which has anti-inflammatory properties and may help reduce inflammation in the body.
  5. Adds flavor without added salt or sugar: Mango salsa is a flavorful alternative to traditional condiments like ketchup or mayonnaise, which can be high in salt and sugar. By using mango salsa instead, you can add flavor to your meals without the added sodium or sugar.
