I love to try different Raitas. It is a perfect side for our weekend one pot meals. I normally have this in place of my daily yogurt (in fact I prefer flavoured yogurt). I have posted Pomegranate Potato Raita before. I wanted to do plain Pomegranate raita and wanted to do it as a slightly sweet verison. If you don’t want it sweet, don’t add sugar
Ingredients
Fresh yogurt – 1 cup (I have used 1/2 cup 0% greek yogurt + 1/2 cup homemade yogurt)
Milk – 1/4 cup
Pomegrante seeds – 1/2 cup
Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Green chillies – 1 (finely chopped)
Onion – 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
Black salt – 1/4 teaspoon
Salt as required
Sugar as required (I didn’t use it)
Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Mint leaves – 7 (chopped finely)
Method:
Take 1/2 of Pomegrante seeds and add milk to it. Run it in mixer and strain to get juice.
In a wider bowl take greek yogurt, home made yogurt, salt, green chillies, mint leaves, black salt, coriander leaves, Sugar if using. cumin seeds powder, onion. Whisk together
Add pomegranate Juice & Pomegrante and mix well.
Serve chilled
