I have posted Chow Mein recipe in my space. This one is quite close but done with sesame oil. So you can taste Sesame in this. I did this with spaghetti but you can use any of your favourite noodle. My sons eats most afternoons in school canteen / hawker center. They wanted me to do some noodles at home. Since I don’t cook meat (yeah at most I just do Egg that too only my helper does it) I tried a few vegetarian versions. For me the ingredients are quite similar but my sons don’t agree. This is very simple to put together. Do try out and give your feedback
Ingredients:
Cooked noodles / spaghetti – 300g
Mixed Vegetables – 2.5 cup (I have used beans, carrot, cabbage, capsicum)
Garlic – 4 pods (chop finely)
Ginger – 1/2 inch (chop finely)
Onion – 1 (slice thinly)
Salt to taste
sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon
Oil – 3 teaspoon
For sauce
Light soya sauce – 2 tablespoon
Dark soya sauce – 1 tablespoon
Sesame oil – 1 tablespoon
Sugar – 1 teaspoon
Chilli sauce – 1 tablespoon (adjust to your spice level)
Method:
Mix all the ingredients under for sauce section. Keep it aside
Heat oil in a pan add garlic, ginger fry till slight brown color. Add onion fry till transparent
Add carrot, beans and fry for a min. Add rest of the vegetables and bit of salt (make sure it is just enough to cook vegetable as sauces will have salt)
Add cooked Noodles. Add Sauce
Mix well. add sesame seeds mix well
Serve hot
