Kodubale recipe – Ring Murukku recipe – Spicy Ring Murukku – Diwali recipe – Snack recipe

When my kids are small they like this round shape murukku over other versions. May be because of the shape. I normally buy this from shop for them whenever I visit India. Because I always think it is lot of work. However after starting the blog I wanted to try this for a while finally I was able to try it out for this Diwali. It is no doubt more work than normal murukku. But every one in our family enjoyed it so the effort is all worth it!
Ingredients

Rice flour – 1 cup
Rava / Semolina / Chiroti Rava – 1/4 cup
All purpose flour – 1/4 cup
Ghee – 3 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cooking oil for frying

Method:

Take all the ingredients into broader vessel. Add water little by little and make a smooth dough

Now make marble size dough. Take one marble size ball and roll it out into thin long piece (roll it as u see in the pic). Now bend it and join the 2 ends like in pic. Repeat the process till all the dough is used. Keep it aside

Keep all the rings ready. Now heat the deep curved pan with oil. and add few at time a time (add them thro’ sideways)

Let ti cook and drain the extra oil and place it on kitchen tissue till oil is absorbed.

Let it cool down. Now time to Enjoy. As you can see you can do whatever shape you like to attract kids Smiley

Love ring murukkus. Even my kids love them. But I am just reluctant to try them at home because of the work involved.. You have presented it very well.. Looks great.. 🙂
